GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) serves as an important sales resource with our customer base. Under the direction of the Sales and Business Development Manager, the ISR helps execute sales, marketing and pricing programs to drive profitable revenue growth within current customer accounts and actively participates in new customer acquisition and development. The ISR provides support to the Pricing Group, the Change Management process and other functions by being the liaison between SpecialMade’s internal processes and the customer. Earned Sales Bonus opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duty 1 – Customer Contact and Business Development:

o The ISR proactively contacts current and potential SpecialMade customers via phone and email to achieve the following:

§ Ensure customer contacts are accurate, appropriate, and up to date.

· Deliverable: Works to identify key decision makers within customer organizations.

· Deliverable: Updates SpecialMade contact management and/or MRP systems as needed.

§ Customer account liaison:

· Deliverables: Understand key customer’s processes:

· Adding/deleting sku’s

· Pricing actions, customer price file templates and calendar

· Scorecards

· Program details (terms, rebates, etc.)

§ Educates identified customer contacts on SpecialMade’s capabilities, solutions, and marketing initiatives including, but not limited to, replacement parts, custom solutions, marketing programs/promotions and tools (parts catalog, custom flyers etc.), 3PL capabilities and so forth.

· Deliverable: Present SpecialMade’s capabilities utilizing PowerPoint or other presentation techniques, marketing materials, etc., via conference calls, “Teams” meetings, emails/attachments, Constant Contact eMarketing campaigns and WebEx’s or as directed.

§ Secure customer commitment to focus on, promote, and sell SpecialMade solutions, including the following:

· Replacement Parts

o Deliverables:

§ In consultation with Sales and Business Development Manager, develops inside sales plans to develop customer programs based on their finished good sales and “fits to” replacement parts. Leads efforts to drive results.

§ Collaborates and consults with customers on ways we can help them promote parts to their end user customer base.

§ Deliver sales training on the value of promoting and selling replacement parts and identify opportunities for customer specific marketing tools: sku descriptions/attributes and images; marketing tools: customized flyers, social media postings, catalogs, Constant Contact’s, PPTs etc.

· Product Decorating, Custom Solutions, labels, and other Value-Added Solutions:

o Deliverables:

§ In consultation with Sales and Business Development Manager, develops inside sales plans to Identify customer opportunities to promote SpecialMade Product Decorating, Custom Solutions and other value-added solutions (like warehousing, kitting, 3PL services, assembly, etc.) to their end-user customers. Leads efforts to drive results.

§ Deliver sales training on the value of promoting and selling custom solutions and identify opportunities for customer specific marketing tools like customized flyers, PPT’s, Constant Contact’s, etc. and review with the General Manager.

Duty 2 –Business Development Team Member

· Deliverables:

  • Participates in periodic work plan sessions with Sales and Business Development Manager, follows up on assignments and brings ideas to the table. Communicates progress, results, recommendations, and next steps as well as challenges. Leads and/or participates in projects as assigned.

o Is prepared for meetings, presentations and interactions with colleagues, management, customers and suppliers.

o Participates and supports internal processes that may impact customer relations:

  • Change management
  • Pricing process

o Maintains CRM software and keeps up to date notes and plans on assigned projects, opportunities and activities that have a customer sales impact.

  • Provides back-up support to other sales and business development team members/functions. Deliverable: Develops a general working knowledge of Customer Service Systems and Processes to provide basic coverage.
  • Teamwork: supports other colleagues; maintains a professional, positive and constructive approach; seeks constructive resolution if there’s opposing viewpoint.
  • Brings new ideas about how to increase sales, improve processes and drive efficiencies.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Education desired: 2- or 4-year degree in Business Management, Marketing & Sales.
  • Experience: Demonstrated success in an inside sales position where the majority of time during the day was spent working directly with customers, and presenting products or ideas.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / TRAITS:

Knowledge Required:

  • Possess strong PC skills including an intermediate level of proficiency using Excel and a practical working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
  • Possesses working knowledge of basic accounting practices.
  • Ability to effectively maneuver thru the internet to conduct business and perform research.
  • Fundamentals of marketing and sales.
  • Experience using CRM software a plus.
